Child Safety Standards

Last Updated: May 1, 2026

At braille, the safety of minors is non-negotiable. braille is an adult dating platform exclusively for users 18 years of age and older. We have published these standards publicly to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to preventing, detecting, and responding to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) on our platform.

1. Strict 18+ Age Requirement

braille is intended exclusively for adults aged 18 and older. We enforce this through:

  • ·Phone number verification at signup via SMS, with anti-spoofing measures
  • ·Date of birth confirmation required during onboarding
  • ·Identity verification via photo verification, comparing user-submitted selfies against profile photos for age and identity validation
  • ·Active account monitoring for behavioral signals consistent with minor accounts
  • ·Immediate account termination and data deletion for any account confirmed to belong to a minor

If we discover that a minor has registered for braille, we delete the account and all associated data immediately and permanently.

2. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

braille has an absolute zero-tolerance policy for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and any content that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or grooms minors. This includes:

  • ·Photos, videos, or any visual content involving minors in sexual or suggestive contexts
  • ·Text content that solicits, describes, or facilitates sexual contact with minors
  • ·Grooming behavior or attempts to lure minors
  • ·Trafficking, exploitation, or abuse content of any kind

Our enforcement measures include:

  • ·Automated content moderation — scanning all uploaded photos before they appear on the platform, including detection of explicit content and suspected minors
  • ·Human moderation review — of flagged content by trained personnel
  • ·Permanent and irreversible bans — for any user found uploading, sharing, soliciting, or distributing such content
  • ·Mandatory reporting — of all confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by U.S. federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2258A)
  • ·Full cooperation — with law enforcement investigations involving suspected exploitation of minors

3. In-App Reporting

Every braille user can report suspected violations directly within the app. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours, with priority given to reports involving minor safety.

Users can report:

  • ·Suspected minors using the platform
  • ·Inappropriate or sexual content involving suspected minors

Reporting protections:

  • ·Reports are handled confidentially — the reporter's identity is not disclosed to the reported user
  • ·Users can block any other user instantly to prevent further contact
  • ·Reports involving minor safety receive priority handling and escalation

4. Detection and Prevention

braille employs multiple layers of detection to prevent harm to minors:

  • ·Behavioral pattern analysis — to flag accounts exhibiting predatory or grooming behavior
  • ·Automated scanning — of profile photos and messages for content patterns associated with exploitation
  • ·Permanent device and account bans — for confirmed violations
  • ·Ongoing review and improvement — of our detection systems as threats evolve
